A-106 Grade B/C

This American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specification covers seamless steel pipe for high temperature service in the size range of 1/8” NPS to 48” NPS. SA-106 Grade B/C

This is an ASME specification covering manufacture and installation of pressure piping and is tightly regulated by the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Pressure piping is generally pipe that must carry pressures greater than 10 to 25 atmospheres, although definitions vary. To ensure safe operation of the system, the manufacture, storage, welding, testing, etc. of pressure piping must meet stringent quality standards.
